early spring!

On Sunday in Montreal - still February - I saw daffodils poking their tips out of the ground, this in a bed by the house where the snow melts first. Today with the snow receding fast, I spied early species tulips and crocus as well. While down in the States they are still buried in snow! :-)

There are daffodil shoots here too:- right up by where the heat leaks from the basement.

some new snowdrops planted in the fall have popped out, and i think they may bloom tomorrow or the day after! I'm glad I put some by the front steps!
