RE: Magazines for northern gardeners??

Hello.....I've been gardening for years and that is the only magazine I know of for us "survivors" of Winter 2009 ! At one time I thought that North Dakota did but I'm not sure. Dr. Ron Smith writes a column for the Fargo Forum but he answers questions for all across the US. I wonder if there might be a Canadian maazine or if the Morden people might put out some news? I feel the MN mag is high priced but then most magazines are now. MidWest Living has some info for us at different times.

I get 2 magazines that have editions for colder climates. One is Gardens West which has editions for both southern Ontario and one for the Prairies, and the other is Ontario Gardener which has an edition called Manitoba Gardener. I'm sure there are a few more but I don't remember the names. There was a post here a few years ago about this very subject. Perhaps you could do a search? Marg

Hi,
Jim Hole of Holes garden center launched a magazine last year I can't think of the name of it but if you did a search of Holes Garden centers Edmonton Ab you could probably find it. The company does on-line shopping and has a pretty good selection for shipping in case you are interested

I get both "The Gardener for the Prairies" and "Garden's West". Garden's west always has pictures of great gardens for inspiration, as well as plenty of interesting articles. Gardener for the Prairies is a much thinner magazine, that only comes out 4 times a year. I like it for ordering back issues, because it has some articles on very specific plants that often get passed over by other magazines.
