For those of you our there that have done the lasagna thing before, I am wondering if you dig through the layers and transplant plants next to the newspaper, or if you put plants just under the news paper. Any thoughts?

When I have made lasagna beds in the past...I have always made them thick enough so that any plant I was setting in...did not go to the bottom. I just dig a hole in the lasagna bed ...add a handful of soil and pop in the plant and firm the soil around the plant..then water.
Maybe you should add a few more layers to your bed ??
