Trimming Blue Spruce

Hi
I have a blue spruce that is losing its lower branches. I am going to trim it up from the bottom. Any best time to do this. I was thinking of now early spring. Thanks for any advice.

| Hey Brian, I would wait till summer to prune a spruce. Keep in mind that the tree cannot regrow branches removed from the bottom, so think twice before cutting. |

| If the branches are dead, anytime is fine to cut them off. |
