 o
cold-protection for bulbs

Help! Last fall, I planted a bunch of bulbs - tulips, hyacinth and daffodils. It's been warm here for a couple of weeks now, and they have started to come up. The tallest ones are 3-5 inches above ground.
Now, the temperature is forecast to fall to -19 Celsius and it is supposed to be cold all week. How can I protect them? Will heaping on more mulch or covering with buckets protect from such extreme cold?

How did your bulbs fare thru that cold spell?
