Norwegian weeping spruce?

My daughter gave me a Norwegian weeping spruce for Mother's Day and what an interesting little tree it is.
I've tried to google but have not come up with any planting instructions, etc.
Would anyone know if it does the best in sun, shade, etc.
Also, do you know if there are any specific planting and care instructions. I'm in North Idaho. Any information would be very much appreciated.
