What is this? Weed or other?

Hello! Question for you all....upon inspecting my garden of weeds this year (one day I will kill them all I swear) I noticed that this patch of weeds or other has spread considerably. Does anyone know what this is? I am referring not to the green plant with flowers, that was planted intentionally, (I believe it's Phlox, but darnit if I didn't keep the tag for it!) but I am referring to the carpet of green fleshy leaves....

Here is a link that might be useful: Strange plant

Could it be wild oxeye daisies - you know, the wild field ones?

Yes, it's a weed. I don't know the name of it, but my family has identified it to me as something that is edible, so I pull it, but not rabidly out of my salad patch. Kinda bitter, and best eaten small. If it's what I think it is, it should have a short sort of hairy root, and be fairly easy to pull out when the soil is softish. It will get a long, skinny stalk coming out of the middle, and have teeny white flowers. We're not talking dandelion level of virulent, here. A claw rake will expose the roots and they'll dry out and you're done.
