Mock Orange

Hello everyone:
I am looking for a Mock Orange bush for zone 3. I have found species for Zone 4 but not Zone 3. Does anyone know if one exists, and if so, where to purchase?
Thanks
Geo

RE: Mock Orange

Hello, Geo.
I have two mock orange shrubs (Philadelphus lewissi 'Blizzard')that I planted in the spring of 2005 and are hardy to Zone 3. Came back quite nicely this year; in fact, they are blooming right now. Not a mass of blooms for the first year, but enough to know that this is a fragrant variety as the nursery promised me.
Not sure where you live, Geo, but I picked these up at a Thunder Bay nursery - Landale.
Hope that helps.
Margaret

RE: Mock Orange

I have had a mock orange bush here for years. Don't know the proper name though, but it is blooming now. It grows like a weed too!
