Bug Magnets and Others

Hello:
Considering a bug magnet - propane driven. Any thoughts positive or negative would be much appreciated. An expensive addition but if it works, it mught be worth it. I find it difficult to use my yard as fully as I would like because of bugs.

RE: Bug Magnets and Others

We bought a propane driven unit a few years ago and returned it after just a couple of days. The unit we bought had a sticky pad that the bugs stuck to after being attracted to the unit. We were hoping to attract mesquitoes and/or deer flies, but instead collected a lot of stuff from the trees - cotton from the cottonwoods, pollen from the oak trees, a few house flies, and dragonflys. Wasn't really effective. There might be a better unit out there, but I'm skeptical.
