I made a mistake and promised a fig tree to a little kid, 11 years old. He is terribly smart and cute, and the son of a friend. I was going to take a cutting from mine, root it and send it.

He wants mine because I told him (truth) it tastes like the best raspberry jam he ever had. It's name is Violette Du Bordeaux, but I realized after I promised that Customs will prevent me from sending a plant over the border.

He lives in New Brunswick. I'm on a big quest to find it now. It is cold hardy, and does well to 4 degrees. It's a container fig. Stick it in the basement for winter.

Any suggestions of nurseries that might have this fig?
