Need some advice

I live in central Alberta, and have a natural spring running through my front yard. My entire front yard is saturated with water, really boggy. What are some suggestions --- how to deal with this problem. I have young kids, so making a pond out of it isn't the best option for us.

I would like to plant some flowers around there, do a bog garden --- any suggestions on the plants??

Just one of the many sites with suggestions. I'm sure elsewhere in Gardenweb you can find others.

Two plants that love wet feet are Siberian Irises and Ligularia. They are readily available in most nurseries. Good luck!!
