dumb question about carrots

| I know I'm suppose to thin carrots but how exactly do you do it ? I pulled some out and transplanted them last year and they grew but with many roots and very crooked. HOW DO YOU THIN CARROTS ? |

2 choices:
pull out extras, and throw them away, or
use scissors/shears and cut off tops of extras. |

| clairdo2 - it depends on how crowded they are....I usually wait till they have a circumferance(?) of 1/4", and pull them. nice wee treat. I've never found them to transplant well at all. Regards. |
