Anyone near Albany?

We're moving from Long Island, to Albany area (Guilderland or Voorheesville) and I want to take as many of my plants as possible, (definitely the peonies) but don't want to take anything that won't survive the colder winters. I'm torn up about my hydrangeas, I think some are hardy down to zone 5, but I look at maps and can't tell if that area is a zone 4 or 5. Can anyone tell me? Also, if you live in that area have you had any success in growing hydrangeas? Thanks!
Maria
