| I have just finished up a web application for looking up your local frost dates based on the National Climatic Data Center's freeze/frost data. I have checked out everything for my area and it looks good to me.
To those of you who generally know the frost dates for your area, would you give my "Frost Date Finder" a go and see if it checks out for where you are? Here's the link:
Thanks so much for your help! -Jude |

| Works fine for me, near Boulder, Colorado. |

| As it didn't accept Canadian Postal codes, I entered the zip code for the most northerly town in North Dakota: Pembina, ND 58271 (which is about an hour south of Winnipeg, MB where I live.) Anyways, it Pembina's last frost date is listed as May 28. Here in Winnipeg the average is May 24. Could just be a regional difference. I like that it just gives a general "early frost" and "late frost" dates. The average date of the fall frost here in Winnpeg is Sept 24, so Pembina's date of Sept 25 is in line. Some years, however, we have escaped any frost until early October. Glen |
