Lily question

I posted a question regarding lilies but don't remember where I posted it. dahhhhhh My question is are the little black balls on the stems seeds and do they take long to start from seed?

Yes, those are seeds. As for how long they take to start growing from seed, I'm not really sure. I seem to have tiny lilies popping up everywhere, so I don't think it takes too long ;^)

Actually, they're bulbils, tiny new bulbs that will grow new lilies if planted (of if they fall into good soil.) They will take 2 to 3 years to reach blooming size. Pick them after the flowers fade and plant right away. If they dry out, they die.
