zoning of perennials

I have just been reading your messages, and you have helped me regarding zoning. I have just moved from Ontario to Saskatchewan and I did bring plants with me, including
Giant Fleeceflower. I was concerned that it would not over winter here, as it did in Ontario( Zone 5) but I see that many of you have it in colder zones. As I love this plant, I am so pleased to know I can leave it out over the winter. I also brought 'Butterfly Bushes" but I think I will have to bring them in. if you haven't grown the
variegated Filipendula' Queen of the Praries 'then you must try it, it grows to 6-8 ft and is gorgeous!

Welcome to the prairies enart, come join us over at the Far North forum, we can grow many plants in our zones regardless of what the books say.

I'm testing Buddleia davidii this winter.

Welcome enart!
I hope you are right Sharon as I have a number of Rose of Sharon planted outside with the hope that 1 will survive. All from seed so not a large loss but still would like to see at least 1 make it.
