Commercial plant imports from US into Canada

Posted by santoury MA (santoury@aol.com) on

Hello,
I am starting a business in Canada (Nova Scotia) which will sell plants. I am wondering what the process is, for getting larger amounts of plants (Unrooted is fine) into Canada - both by car, or by shipment.

I am new to this, so please feel free to spell it out for me. Hopefully there is another storeowner, or nurserykeeper on here who does this and can walk me through it.
Please feel free to email me at santoury@aol.com as I do not spend much time on here these days.
Thank you,
Jude

There are restictions on importing plants, some are allowed, some are not. You will need to check with Canada Customs for specifics.

Here is a link that might be useful: Canada Customs
