Gladiola bulbs

Hello,
I have some gladiola bulbs that were given to me a few weeks ago that are still in their original package. Here in central Indiana, Fall is here.
I'm assuming I cannot plant them now and wonder what I can do to keep them healthy through the winter.
Thank you.

RE: Gladiola bulbs

I guess all you can do is store them, similar to how you would if you just dug them out of the ground this fall. Maybe put in a pail and pour sand over them (bury them in sand). Other methods work too, some people store in peat moss or pealite.

I once forgot to plant my glads and a few of them did survive until the next year, so it's worth a shot.
