| Here's my Butia capitata (Pindo Palm) that has done quite well since it was transplanted 3 years ago. I was concerned but this year was the turning point. They make a nice addition to a Vancouver Island garden.

| Nice Butia Barry. Do yo have a Jubaea? They sure are slow growers. Part of me says: move the west coast, but the other half says stay in NS and pioneer hardy palms here. I think i'll stay in NS, but i would like to visit the west coast and see all the palms. I notice a lot of your posts on the NW palm board, they are always informative. I don't post there because i don't live in the region. I post on the North East hardy palm board. |

| Thanks. Hey, anyone no matter where they live is welcome to post on the NW board. We welcome all input and it's nice to make comparisons as well. So join in sometime. I do have a Jubaea chilensis (Chilean Wine palm) but it won't be planted until next Spring. Cheers, Barrie. |
