Just received new plants - now what

Posted by pbishop nj (My Page) on

I ordered some pampas grass and fountain grass plant from an online nursery and I just received them today 11/2/2007.

We've had our first frost and I'm unsure what to do to insure the new plants survive.

Can I plant them now or should I try to grow inside ?

You're in New Jersey? I'm pretty sure you could plant them now. Plants need several weeks of "settling in" before winter. I just received a daylily and some digitalis from an online order and am keeping them in the house for the winter, but i'm in zone 3 and our ground will be frozen in a week or two. Does your ground ever freeze solid there?
