| Merry Christmas, Debbie and everyone! I'm sorry i haven't been around much - i was trying to get an afghan done in time for Christmas, but i didn't. Oh well. :) We've had mild weather all of December too, but it's cooling off again - still above normal but cooler. We did our Christmas last night and it all turned out well. I got an interesting gift from my daughter - a set of four spiral type thingies that you put in a plant pot and let vines climb up. With the luck i had with morning glories last summer, these should be just the thing - can't wait! Speaking of morning glories, one must have seeded into a container that i brought in because there's one growing in it. Gee, maybe i should transplant it and use one of those spirals! There's a plan! I'm off to Thunder Bay tomorrow with my son and his family. My sister is there from Toronto, and my brother and his son will also be there. It will be good to see them and to have a little visit with my parents. We'll only be staying a couple of days - long enough for me. :) Here's my good news for next year. The same son and his girlfriend are expecting our first "actual" grandchild in late June or early July! We have our other little grandguy, and we love him like he's our own, but he's really the son of a girl our son lived with for a couple of years. So i'll be posting something else besides flower pictures in the summer! Anyway, i should do a bit more on that afghan. Take care, everyone, and hope you're having a great holiday! |
