Vancouver scene: Snow and palm trees

Here's a view of Vancouver (Point Grey area). Palm trees can be seen at sea level while snow accumulates on the mountain tops during winter. It makes for a unique Canadian garden photo.

I used to live in northen Ontario. Living on the BC coast is an entirely new world.

Cheers

Victoria, BC: Palms and Christmas lights

Here's a picture taken on the 23rd of December 2004 in Victoria, BC. It makes for a unique Christmas tree in Canada.
Flora is so diverse in Victoria,BC that you can make your garden look temperate or tropical. Or even a strange mix.

Season's greetings, Denis! Nice pictures. Paul picked up his seedlings. Everything is now blanketed in snow here. My big T fortunei continues to grow....in the livingroom window, of all places. It seems to be a very resilient indoor palm too!
