Time to order my tomato seeds!

And any other seeds. We are buried beneath catalogs right now! They started arriving around Christmas and I think we must have gotten at least 20 this year.

I placed my first order, with Tomato Growers, and am looking at Gurney's cause DH insists on ordering from them each year. I like to hit Walmart's seed rack every time I go in just for the halibut in case I see something I want.

'Want' is the key word. We don't really do too well with our clay soil and carpy weather, but it's still fun to dream :)

So I'm curious as to what tomatoes others are going to plant. I like to try different ones every year plus plant the ones we know have done well more than one year in a row. With our snow today it's a good time to think about warmer weather.

RE: Time to order my tomato seeds!

Just placed my order with Totally Tomato catalog. I ordered Abraham Lincoln, Bush Early Girl and the wonderful cherry, Supersweet 100. This catalog has hundreds of varieties tomatoes & peppers! I moved a few years ago from Gardnerville to Jiggs (near Elko) and use to complain about the zone 5-6 growing season. Jiggs is zone 3-4 with clay soil also. Im also learning to live with deer and raccoons. I need to figure out a way to compost my kitchen scraps without inviting all of the raccoons from my area. At least the deer clean up my flower beds for the winter! Its been snowing on and off today, to go along with the 6-8" of snow already around our house. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else! Have your ever tried to grow Killarney raspberries?
