My March through April sanity-saver

themayocynic

I impulse-bought a pot of hellebore at a home improvement store a few years ago, not knowing much of the plant other than it was gorgeous. Of course, when I got home, I researched the heck out of it.

Hellebores are evergreens and bloom right about the time all the neighbors' daffodils are blooming. I don't have daffodils (yet) so my precious hellebore is what keeps me sane March through April while I wait for the weather to warm and for the rest of the plants to make a show. I plan on collecting the seeds this year and spreading them throughout my garden.

Here are a couple of pics of my little bit of March through April sanity-saver. Anyone else here grow these?
