Rabbit in my yard....

Since last summer our yard has been visited frequently by a rabbit. We have even seen it over the past several days in this bitter cold weather. Not sure if its wild or domestic but after doing some searching on the net it seems to be a eastern cottontail. It doesn't eat the veggies, herbs or flowers. We have just seen it during the day and at night grazing in the lawn on grass and/or clover. Today I went out to take a look around the garden and found rabbit droppings all over the yard.

Should I dispose of them?

Compost them?

Leave them and just run the lawn mower over them in the spring? The rabbit doesn't seem to be bothering anything but I don't really want poos where my daughter will play.

Is there anything to deter them?

Thought of posting this in the pest forum but I thought I would try here to get advice from the locals perspective/experiences. I am in Vancouver, WA.
