I want to put in a greenhouse this summer to extend our growing season, and possibly heat it to allow growing salad veggies all winter.

But I need to ask - the site I have available is on the West side of our 2-story house, fairly close. There is a large cedar in a neighbor's yard to the west. That means the GH will only get a few hours of direct sunlight regardless of season - typically from around noon to around 3 PM at best. But of course it will have a full view of the sky.

Will this work? Will the indirect sunlight from the sky all day, with 4-6 hours (seasonal) direct sun be enough?

Any advice would be a great help.
