Karl Forester grass clumps

Hi, I'm trying to help out my eldgerly neighbor find quite a bit of Karl Forester grass to plant in front of his chain link fence. I'm willing to dig and divide it, if you have some. The fence is quite long so if you think your row of KF needs thinning - please let me know. I'm located on Finn Hill in Kirkland. Thanks a bunch Kathy

Planting a grass like that along a chain link fence looks drab and brown.
A waste of time to trim up.

Use Overdam instead...doesn't seed and won't fall over on the first big rainfall.

What plant do you suggest? I'm helping out my elderly neighbor, he has 100 feet of chainlink fence running down a mildly steep slope. The soil is poor, irrigation is an issue. We have drought in summer and rain in winter. Sun is around the clock, in the open, with no shade. I need something that I can nurse along for the first year and then will grow. Ivy is invasive and I won't do it on principle. Am really interested in getting a solution for him.
