Hi, again,

I am looking for fine compost in Federal Way/Tacoma area. I usually use it to cover the seeds I am planting. It gets pricey if I buy it in the bags in garden centers. Can you please reccomend me a place where I can buy FINE compost with no package?

I don't know of a source for bulk compost that is fine textured, altho Tagro in Tacoma may sell a finer version of their potting mix if you contact them.

As an alternative, you might make a compost sifter using hardware cloth and lumber. If the openings in the hardware cloth are tool large, maybe line it with a coarse shade cloth? I've seen sifters offered in garden catalogs...you might find one in nursery.
