Hello, I am new. Sort of new to posting and very new to gardening.

My husband and I can not make up our mind as to how we are going to block our neighbors view into our kitchen, from their kitchen. I would rather not have arborvitae, but worried that a shrub will take up too much of our yard.

The area that I want to plant is probably considered full sun to part shade. It is next to a fence and I would like to be something that will grow to at least 8 feet tall and something I can prune back.

Any ideas? (I hope my blathering makes sense to someone! lol)
