When should my hollyhocks emerge?

I sprayed fungicide and keep watching the area where they are. I am going out now to slug bait too. I seem to put off using the Sluggo, because I don't think it works well for me. The veterinarian says it is safe for my bloodhounds, but always worries me, because they have their nose in everything

My hollyhocks are about 6 inches high.

Wow, and when I planted them about 3 yr ago...they were really big tubers. And they were stunning flowers. Wish I knew what I could do. When I tug on the brown (about 4") stalks, they feel well rooted. They are last years stalks though see no new growth. I am just going to leave them I guess, and HOPE! I wonder if squirrels would get to them!
