I spent the last 6 months or so removing my lawn and replacing it with a little piece of NW forest. Well, the native understory plants at least =)

In doing so I've had a ton of questions and the people on this forum have been more than helpful! I just wanted to say thank you and show you a few pictures of what you help me create.

Below is a link to a few pictures of the progress over time. I had a heck of a time finding a before picture... so the first slide is a dark picture (taken at dusk).

Hmmm... well we only have Elk I think out here in the forests... so maybe next time I'm in Canada I'll see if I can find one that will let me ride it!

It looks like you've done a lot of work.
My brother sends me pictures of Moose in his yard in northern Idaho. .......He's not riding them though.

I gave your pictures a viewing. The thimbleberries look well. It will be interesting to see how the plants with spreading tendencies behave in this small area.

I also like the flatted/trimmed top end of the stair handrail --the designer has an eye for detail.
