Vancouver Master Gardener's sale May 9-10

Huge Plant Sale hosted by the Master Gardener Foundation located at the WSU Research & Extention Unit 1919 NE 78th St. Vancouver, WA. Saturday May 9th , 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday May 10th , 10 am to 3 pm. Great bargains on vegetables, berries, hanging baskets, color bowls, annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs. Come early for best selection. A non profit foundation supporting the community.

I'm going because the Columbia River Daylily Club is going to be selling there. I've decided I need more daylilies.

Is it going to be bigger this year? I wish they had it on Friday too since I have to go right by there 5 days a week.

I don't know, I just posted the craigslist ad. I got a few good bedding plants last year, they had a good selection including Wave Petunias, and a perennial Campanula. I tried planting a Chrysanthemum in the ground and it did poorly compared with ones I bought before and kept in pots. The Chrysanthemum society usually has lots of plants, and the Daylily club is digging their plants from the garden at the extension center to sell, as well as members bringing some.

I scored some daylilies that are usually over twenty bucks mail order for five bucks each. Really nice ladies there too. This sale was bigger than I expected. Lots of perennials in gallons cheap.
