Various Puget Sound area nurseries carry it or Halesia diptera from time to time. I know of a couple of diptera Magniflora group available in Kitsap.

Halesia has been stocked by independent garden centers here in the past, try making some phone calls. Has grown over 60' tall in the Seattle arboretum.

Must do well here, then. Glad to hear it; will make calls and check around.

bboy, do you know if it's still in bloom at the arboretum? I'd love to see 60' of this tree in bloom.

There were some flowers left on Camano Island last weekend. But definitely past the peak, and liable to be more advanced in Seattle.

Locations are given by Jacobson, Trees of Seattle - Second Edition (2006). For the ones in the Washington Park Arboretum you have to use coordinates on a grid map (included in the book) with rather large grids.

Thanks, bboy. I found this website thanks to another link you posted on another thread while seeing if I could find any mention of Carolina Silverbells on the nw garden forum. There weren't any, though. I have the book on hold at the library and may get one myself later after I look at it. I really do like trees and flowering shrubs the best. Thank you, geanann
