Tofino Rhodie Garden - pictures

We visited Tofino last week and found this wonderful Rhodie Garden! The shrubs are absolutely enormous and very beautiful. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to contact the owner and get permission to enter the property, but here are some pics from the perimeter. I know that west coast garden clubs make pilgramidges here and i can see why! One very spectacular plant was a gorgeous blue colour and the new shoots were all chartreuse. What a combination!

Dotty isn't it a sight to behold, haven't been back in quite some time but when our garden club went we had a tour of the whole garden it was breathtaking.

The blue Rhododendron looks like Islam Violet

Annette, it is absolutely beautiful. And, I have you to thank for telling me about it. This garden was the main reason I wanted to visit Tofino. Thanks Botann for this ID -- it certainly is a gorgeous colour especially contrasted with the chartreuse new growth.
