We have a golden spirit smoke bush in our backyard just outside of Seattle, Washington, and it hasn't yet leafed out. Is it dead?? We are hopeful that it's still alive, as it's a real beauty. The twigs do seem kind of brittle, although it looks like there is some green/yellow inside.

What can we do to save it, or is it still early for these plants to leaf out?
