Sharpitor is classed as a slow growing bushy upright. 'Aurea' makes me think yours has golden foliage. The book I have says it grows to about 18 inches in height. Hope this helps.

Knowing that it is an upright is good indication of its general growth habit, but you may need to grow it in one spot & be prepared to move it after you've seen how it behaves in the 1rst spot. There can be quite a bit of variance from one "upright" to the next - some will be rather stiffly upright and others will be more lax. You might want to research a little to see how hardy this fuchsia should be. They are typically ranked H1, H2 or H3 (H3 being the hardiest). An H1 will freeze out or barely survive most of our winters if left outdoors. Earthworks Fuchsias has many of their fuchsias ranked for hardiness, but I don't know if they carry 'Sharpitor Aurea' on their website.

Sharpitor is classed as a Hardy, has small flowers but very free flowering, also is said to be self branching so I would think S.'Aurea' will have the same traits.

Hardy fuchsias can take and want more sun than hanging basket types.

You should plant it deeper in the ground than it is in the pot now too.

Don't cut them back until spring when you see new growth which may be only at the crown or on the branches.

I have this Fuchsia. It's fairly upright and gets about 2' x 3' for me. It doesn't need to cascade or droop at all. Yes full sun is fine as long as it has enough water. I wouldn't put it in more than half shade; it probably won't grow or bloom as well.
