If you are talking about Otatea acuminata aztecorum, the mail order nursery, Tradewinds Bamboo Nursery @ http://www.bamboodirect.com/, is a very good place to get one. I have order many different bamboo species from them and they all have been very healthy, including several Mexican weeping bamboo. After killing several O. acuminata aztecorum outdoors and hauling a potted one back and forth, I gave it away several years ago. I grew tired of caring for it.

The furthest north I have seen it grown well outside is Gold Beach Oregon, where this nursery is located.
