Bizarre cloud over Olympics

Hi all,

Tonight when leaving work in downtown Olympia I saw this bizarre cloud formation. It's a ring, with streamers hanging from the top. I can't believe it's a natural cloud, it must be some kind of jet trail wouldn't you think? like some fighter pilot from Whidbey air base did a big loop de loop or something.

From Oly it was to the northwest, so towards the southern Olympics. You can see the Mt. Jupiter area on the right side of the horizon in the photo. I dunno if it would have been visible from Tacoma or Seattle but maybe from Kitsap.

What do you think? jet trail?

Wow, that is so cool. I think it is so amazing that cloud formations are as individual as snow flakes. Each cloud formed by a wind current or weather condidtion unique to its creation. Thanks for sharing this.

World's largest Portuguese Man of War. Good thing you didn't get under the tentacles.
