Another Wild Storm

Sheeeeesh. Just had everything spic and span, cleaned up, replanted, from all the winter damage, even got containers of flowers going, and kaboom! yesterday's wild crazy thunderstorms, high winds, hail and tornadoes have made the yard a tangled mess.

Going to be cleaning up a long time.

Why oh why did I ever un-stake any tree? Out come the lodgepoles and hammer again.

At least it's raining. Awesome to not have to spend the night watering.

RE: Another Wild Storm

Yesterday we topped out at 98 degrees in Sequim.... surreal. Well the cacti are happy.

RE: Another Wild Storm

Yup, we lost the tip of our large tulip maple- just missed my car-large limb. All the tree limbs are listing in the wrong places and my raspberries are a tangled mess.

RE: Another Wild Storm

My climbing roses that were looking magnificent look a little beat down but will bounce back. At least we've been getting more heat this year and my tomatoes have a lot of blooms, even fruit on Mormon World's Earliest, maybe it will live up to its name.

RE: Another Wild Storm

I haven't seen rain come down like that since I lived in Tornado ally! WOW! 1 inch of rain in 15 minutes ? Crazy! my Elderberry's got the worst of it, Gooseberry's lost a few branches and only lost one branch on Blueberries and Mulberries... could have been far worse, though.

RE: Another Wild Storm

We had wind but little rain and no hail. The wind tore almost all of my Clematis from their trellises/host plants.
