overwintering heliotrope?

| After smelling my first Heliotrope, I bought one (a "Fragrant Delight"), stupidly not realizing it was an annual here!!! Is there any way it might come back next year? Does it self-seed? Can I help it do that? Thanks. |

| Would have to be dug and overwintered under cover. |

| rats! When you say "overwintered under cover," do you mean brought indoors (garage or heated house?) Does it self-seed at all? |

| I would not expect it to come back from seed here. But I cannot swear it never has. |
