help with burning burning bush and spirea

Two problems and three questions.

First, my dwarf burning bush isn't looking so great as you can see in the first photo below. Is it just the sun and heat? I've been watering every few (two or three) days. Do I need to do more or does this look like a disease?

Second, this spirea(?) is also looking bad. It's new and was seriously pot-bound. I cut through the circling roots and planted it in full sun in a new, sheet-composted garden. For a little while it seemed fine, but this last week of furnace-like heat hasn't been kind to it. I dug it out and put it in a tub of water in the shade. It's looking a bit better, but still not great. Was it just in need of time and a long drink of water? And maybe it could use partial shade?

Third, is it indeed a spirea? If so, what kind? That's why I'm including a picture of healthy leaves. The tag blew away. Thank you!
