More annoying insects this year?

Hey -

do you feel this year there are more mosquitos and flies in the house this year? The weather seems warmer, so I assume that is expected? Just want to see if others are experiencing same problem, or our house is actually having something else.

What do you do to keep them out?

Not happening here.

Nor here.

If the heavy rain of some weeks ago collected on or near your property in some container, there has been enough time and warmth to hatch mosquitoes near you. Start with gutters and work down from there.

Screens on all opened windows and screen doors should be effective. We have had one house fly at a time inside for about 2 weeks now, not an increase from previous years.
Sticky fly strips can help indoors.

We use a Deluxe Ultrasonic Electromagnetic Pest Repeller plugged in to an electrical outlet that seems to repel insects of any type including spiders. They came with the house when we bought it 3 1/2 years ago.

No problem here. We put up swallow boxes and they eat lots of mosquitoes. Now we have bats roosting under our eaves and they are also eating bugs. I'm not necessarily happy about the bats, I have to hose off the patio every morning.

I have more annoying neighbors this year, would the Deluxe Ultrasonic Electromagnetic Pest etc. work on those?

[Note: Spiders are not insects]
