Just wanted to say a quick hello as i am brand new to the forum :) Currently i am living in Nanaimo on Vancouver island (home of some pretty tasty dessert bars:). I am going to be attending Vancouver Island University this fall to receive my certification as a horticulture technician, which i am extremely excited about. I have spent the last 2 years working as a commercial gardener for a resort in Ucluelet BC. I am really excited to get pointers and plant information from everyone out there!

Welcome! I live a bit south of you near Mill Bay. I am sure you already know way more than me about gardening!
This is a great forum, always active, great for us "Coasters", lots of good advice.

Mill Bay is not far at all! and i am sure i dont know much more then you do...thats why i joined the forum, so i could pick up on experienced veterans :) its pretty intimidating listening to everyone talk about species....i hope i can ever know that much!
are you lucky enough to have your own garden?
