What kind of viburnum?

I only just moved back to the PNW in 2008, but I was gardening in the Southwest for 10+ years before that. Based on the last few seasons I've experienced here, we're having a really weird spring and summer, and a lot of the plants seem confused. My hydrangeas didn't start blooming until late July and early August, about two months later than usual, and they're still blooming now when they usually finish in mid-July. I have a Rhododendron 'Cunningham's White' that should have bloomed in April, and it's just now forming buds. I'm also seeing buds forming on a Rhododendron ponticum 'Variegatum' and a Daphne odora 'Aureomarginata', both of which I planted last spring.

I have a few scattered blooms on my Viburnum burkwoodii which is pretty common.
And August is when rhodies form next spring's blossoms.
My hydrangeas always bloom in August, never much earlier than late July. Some aren't blooming at all this year because of last winter's dieback.

Thanks for the info. This viburnum is called "Spring `Bouquet." The Aztec Pearl choisyas are also doing a very mini re-bloom.

Pretty much all shrubs mentioned above may produce some flower heads at times other than the main season. Particularly with kinds that flower in winter or spring, it is late enough now that flower buds for next year may have been formed, might open prematurely at this time instead of next year. Some early blooming rhododendron cultivars regularly have a substantial autumn flowering, 'Yellow Hammer' and 'Elizabeth' for instance.

Also have a red bud opening on an old large rhodie that usually blooms mid-late May.
