| Very Short Notice but for you that live within driving distance of Hubbard Oregon (Just north of Salem) they are having what appears to be a fantastic Table Grape Field Seminar tomorrow & I just found out they are allowing registration at the event - full details can be obtained from the Marion County Ext. website: http://extension.oregonstate.edu/marion The hosts, Ray and Sandra Ethell of Broadacres Nursery will be including some very advanced pruning and training techniques in the seminar and demonstrating a revolutionary trellising system.
You should plan to attend, if for no other reason to see and taste so many wonderful grape varieties (over 40), that I, for one; had no idea would grow so well this far north, - the rootstocks they are grafted to - the incredible yield on such healthy plants. Noted "Grape Expert", Lon Rombough will also be on to lend his vast expertise - if you need a variety identified bring along a cluster or two. |
