We recently moved to a somewhat rural area near Woodinville and have a long gulley that runs the length of the front of our property. It routinely becomes overridden by a variety of weeds and is difficult and tedious to hand-weed. My husband has about had enough and says "let it be", but I think it looks horrible and am not willing to let it grow crazy like that. Some nearby neighbors have few to no weeds in their gulleys and I shudder to think what they might be spraying to control it. I'm coming from an urban organic gardener's bias so maybe I'm being unfair...Is there a safe way to spray that doesn't do harm to the watershed? If so, what product/s might work and what is the active ingredient? Thanks so much!
