oxalis-weed or ground cover?

Hi all. Hope you've had a great summer and lots of pleasure from your gardens.

Late Spring I had a grove of black bamboo taken out of the north side of our house. It had been planted by the prior home owner over 30 years ago and was starting to spread into our neighbor's yard.

Hidden under it was a hardy fushia, a few hostas, an escalonia, and a couple of clumps of oxalis.

The process of digging it all out upended the oxalis.

I put in some annuals and some donated struggling hydrangeas from a neighbor.

Four months later, the oxalis has come back everywhere. I don't really mind it as a ground cover, but wonder if I just let it stay and multiply I'll be sorry.

Any thoughts? Here's a picture of the bed in progress. I didn't want to overplant because I want to be able to dig up any remaining bamboo that might show up.
