| I received this plant for Mother's Day last May and it bloomed beautifully. When do I prune it? Does it bloom on new growth?
Any advice is appreciated. |

| Yes, you can tip it back at end of winter and still get bloom - the heads come on the ends of new growth. If you don't like the appearance of the dead heads, you can snip those off beforehand without stems beneath being affected. Species is Hydrangea paniculata, pruning advice for that will be the same as for this cultivar of it. |
