Seattle Garden Thieves Strike Again...

| Sigh... My mother called me a couple days ago to tell me that she went out in her back yard (on Capitol Hill) to water her plants and found that some of her garden art had disappeared. I'd bought her a "Birth of Venus" cast concrete statue for her birthday last year. The thing was a couple feet high and weighed a ton, but someone managed to walk off with it. They also stole a gazing ball, and a small fairy statue. This was from her fenced in back yard. It so violating. I posted something on Craigslist too, but I doubt I'll ever be able to find the statue.
I posted in July of last year about the same kind of thing happening to me in Ballard. Just wish there was something we could do to catch these @#$%^&* jerks.
Thanks for letting me vent... |

| It's amazing what people will do. Earlier this year, just as my Daphne odora was blooming, someone came along and yanked it out of my front border. It had been in the ground two years and was fairly substantial, but the plant thief managed to pull it out (not properly dug up) in the wee hours of the morning. VERY annoying, to say the least... |

| That is awful. I hope they eventually get what they deserve (something bad)! |
