Anyone growing Yerba Santa (Eriodictyon californicum)?

Greetings. I'm in Portland and am looking to get my hands on a Yerba Santa (Eriodictyon californicum) plant. It's native to Southern Oregon and California so I'm thinking it will probably grow in the PDX metro area.
Anyone in the area growing these?

I've heard that it is a difficult subject for nursery production, so it is probably going to be hard to find. I'm sure growing it on a well-drained site wouldn't be an issue if you could find one and get it established.
